Created in 2023, Ashworks is a short play showcase dedicated to supporting and highlighting original work created by emerging Illawarra and Sydney artists. Since its inception, Ashworks has successfully staged four glowing shows as part of the showcase each year, with at least one show each year going on to apply to further developments or showings in other programs between the Illawarra and Sydney.

Led by Producer Zachary Hanlon, Ashworks aims to demonstrate the range of creativity, talent and absolute dedication that is still being exhibited by budding theatre-makers to this day, pushing the importance of supporting as much local art as physically possible.
