Campfire 2025

produced by Zachary Hanlon

23rd October - 1st November 2025

  • Initiated in 2024, Campfire is an annual anthology of monologues and duologues. Campfire showcases the writing and acting talents of Sydney & Illawarra artists, launching performers and writers alike into a one-month rehearsal process to produce or refine a chosen work and simply give them the opportunity to get it onstage.

Campfire is about storytelling - pushing artists to set aside lavish production values and larger scales in favour of focusing on the text and performance, inviting audiences into the intimate foyer performance space of The Phoenix Theatre in order to witness the best that local artists have to offer. As a profit-share production, directed by a single person, Campfire seeks to give the best opportunity possible for these artists to have their work acknowledged, compensated, and celebrated, amongst a rich tapestry of other short works.
