King Lear
by William Shakespeare and adapted by Steen
19th - 27th April 2024
-
Lear is a brutal and vain King, whose vanity and refusal to see the true nature of the people surrounding him leads to his downfall and exile into the wilderness. Only after losing everything does the King realise the truth. Though his revelation comes too late. Lear looks at aspects of sanity, homelessness, and family politics, and is as powerful and relevant now as it ever was.
